A hand-carved log cottage suitable for year-round use on a charming peninsula by the clean Lake Pyhäjärvi in Saarijärvi.

The unique cottage was originally built by the owners for their own use.

The Karelian-style cottage includes a traditional wood sauna, where you get to enjoy its pleasant heat and steam. The cottage has an Art Nouveau fireplace that creates a cozy atmosphere.

The cottage is fully equipped, including a dishwasher, washing machine, refrigerator, freezer, induction stove and a multi-function oven. The water comes from its own bore well.

Next to the cottage you’ll find a unique wooden tower building, which serves as a bedroom especially during summer, but it is also equipped for winter use when necessary.

The cottage and the tower have room for a total of five people. If necessary, a mattress can be placed in the loft (for example for a child).

In Saaristenniemi, its idyllic atmosphere and a magnificent landscape is combined with modern comforts and environmental friendliness. We use ecological detergents, and instead of a water toilet, we have a composting toilet.

The campfire by the shore offers coziness and warmth, and it can also be used for flaming salmon, for which the equipment is included.

Remote work is possible thanks to a good 5G internet connection.

Nature lovers and adventurers will appreciate the easy access to Pyhä-Häkki National Park, less than an hour’s drive away, as well as other beautiful local destinations like Haikankärki. The lively Kukonhiekka summer dance pavilion is just 15 minutes away, and families with children will enjoy the Veijari Activity Park, located a little over half an hour’s drive from the cottage.
