The fishing area is expansive, as the rapids are over ten kilometres long combined. The destination is at its best in early summer and autumn, because there might not be much water in the rapids in the middle of summer.

PAJULAMPI, RECREATIONAL FISHING DESTINATION

This licence-based recreational fishing destination is maintained by the Saarijärvi Association. The pond is stocked with rainbow trout and whitefish. If you want to fish from a boat, you can rent one at Ranta-Kivi at the address Jyväskyläntie 34. Hyppyrimäentie 5, 43100 Saarijärvi,
