Saarijärven Latu rents canoes and kayaks with all necessary safety equipment (life vests, paddles, backup paddle for rapids, kayak covers, watertight barrels, rapid helmets, and canoe trailers). The association also rents out some snowshoes, touring skates, and other hiking supplies.

Longboat rowing on Tuesday evenings in the summer, free of charge. 150 € for groups, available on order. Inquire at 040 8356 191.

TENNIS AND DISC GOLF EQUIPMENT, UNDERWATER BINOCULARS

The Saarijärvi city library rents out tennis rackets on your library card. There is a free tennis court inside the ice rink at Valotie 5.

You can also lend out disc golf equipment and underwater binoculars with your library card, allowing you to take a peek into underwater life in the form of plants, clams, and other animals living on the bottom. When moving calmly, you might even see some fish!
